Akatsuki Soul Points

Is Akatsuki the only place where you could check how many soul points you have?

I am asking this, because in PREFERENCE, there's a section where it ask whether you want to know the amount of SOUL POINTS you have or not.
Mine has always been YES, but I don't see it in my stats, so I am assuming you could only check how much you got if you go to AKATSUKI...
