Was Yamato suggesting that Konoha overlooked the Kumo's attempt to kill a Hyuuga for their eyes, but an attempt on Sasuke would cause (many in) Konoha to reevaluate if that was the right course of action? Basically, they can forgive one transgression, but not two?
While the bed where Tsunade was supposed to be did look a bit . . . flat, there certainly appeared to be the top of someone's head behind Sakura's back.
I did not think Naruto was pathetic. It is a sign of greater strength and maturity to ask for forgiveness than it is to solve all problems with violence. I found the Raikage's "there should be no compromises between ninja" to be pathetic.
