Hyuuga upgrades
« on: September 17, 2010, 06:06:44 AM »

Well, seem there is a topic about including Susanoo or some other things into the Uchiha KG, and someone said it would be unfair if the Hyuuga did get anything, here are some ideas for what the Hyuuga could obtain!

So there is a few Hyuuga jutsu that aren't in there, that could be included, but most are nothing special.

-Hakke Kūshō - Eight Trigrams Empty Palm: Just a powerful hit, maybe cause an opponent a debuff.

Jūho Sōshiken - Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists: Again, just a powerful double hit.

Shugohakke Rokujūyon Shō - Protection of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms: This one could be alright, Hinata's little chakra done, basically lasts for x rounds and if enemies try and hit you, it arches back the damage at them plus more.

But the really good one, which could be used as a equaliser for Susanoo is, Hakke Hyaku Nijūhachi Shō - The Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms.
Again, it is a powerful Jutsu, which would need training, as Neji had to train himself to use it. So you could have some sort of events where you learn to use it from Neji or other Hyuuga masters. You could have the Jutsu itself develop in stages, about three like Susanoo,
First Stage: A power jutsu, cost about 5 - 10 points, it does 128 small hits.
Second Stage: 5 - 10 Chakra Points, again does 128 small hits, and could stop Enemy Jutsus from happening after that point.
Third Stage: 10 - 15 Points, 128 hits, Stops Enemy Jutsus, and if any effects have started, ie debuff, they are removed.

Just an idea, also a possibility to train the Byakugan to last longer maybe? Just thoughts, what does everyone else think?

I agree.

Possibly add, Hakke Sanbyakurokujūichi Shō (Lit. Eight Trigrams Three Hundred Sixty One Palms) and this could act like the 'coupe de gra' of Hyuuga attacks.
Of course, training to "improve" it will be a must.

First Stage - 15 Chakra (361 hits - misses 50% of them | Speed increase by 3 for the entirety of the technique)
Second Stage - 30 Chakra (361 hits - misses 15% of them | Speed increases by 5 for the entirety of the technique)
Final Stage - 60 Chakra (361 hits - chakra fully depleted from enemy resulting in death | Speed increases by 10 for the entirety of the technique)

Because of the power of this technique, should only be available to Grand Masters and training should be extremely difficult and rare. Once it has evolved a stage, it can only be used at the upgraded stage. For example, if it has been improved to stage 2, you cannot use stage 1.
Yet, technically, this is a one hit kill since the technique is supposed to hit every tenketsu of the opponent, so not too sure if it will be favored.

But all in all, I do agree that the Hyuuga reset NEEDS to have some upgrades.
Hyuuga's only get three techniques for the entirety of their reset?

Sure, they have no need to buy a weapon, but training with Neji doesn't work 98% of the time (I know from personal experience).
I should be able to get level 15 weapon before I am at level 15...

Oh, I would would LOVE to be able to increase the time of the byakugan activation.

I can't say I agree with the numbers listed, but I do greatly like idea of expanding the hyuuga reset. Seeing as many untapped techniques are there.

(Yes, I know. Great post. No input really here)

All great ideas, but:

Well, having seen the code for both KGs, if you could extend the time it was active, I'd glad exchange Sharingan for Byakugan.

Yeah, I actually forgo using the Hyuuuga techniques because Byakugan is only 10 rounds. Kaiten and Hakkeryoshunjamablahwhatsit are beastly.

Of course, I can't see the Uchiha coding and therefore don't know how it's set up, but I thought it involved separate training for advanced techniques after X resets. Empty Palm and 128-trigrams could mirror Amaterasu/Tsukoyomi/Susanoo.

It has been stated in all of the Naruto Databooks, manga and anime that if somebody masters the Byakugan, it costs virtually no chakra to maintain it.

Sounds like Sharingan, no?

I believe I heard somebody say (the name is escaping me) that the anime and manga said that a master of
the sharingan can use virtually no chakra, and because of that, the sharingan in SL lasts for an entire GD.

So, if the sharignan can be activated once a GD and last for the entire GD. So should the Byakugan.

But no Hyuuga character I can think of have ever be seen with it activated for more than a single battle.
But yeah, maybe last longer than it does.

Well, Ice, Byakugan users haven't had any major roles in the series. Neji and Hinata wouldn't really count as Grand Masters, in my opinion. Hiashi doesn't walk around with it active all the time, but that's probably because it doesn't look very sociable. >>;;

Exactly, it is most likely a choice thing I am guessing.

I don't think Hiashi wants to walk around with his veins bulging out of his skin, but I am pretty sure he has the ability.

I agree with that, I only use charm when Hinata comes around anyways.

But what if someone goes to 0?

I assume you can go below zero, means your really ugly!
But I don't think Hinata would mind a nice strong Hyuuga man showing off his Byakugan!

Would it be too hard to modify that event to allow an instant Hyuuga bypass? The charm thing definitely sounds like an option, no matter how hilarious it is. I recall seeing a screenshot of KB's that suggested the SSTE makes you feel ugly.
