Donation Points Transfer.
« on: September 05, 2011, 12:19:10 PM »

I've been wondering for quite some time now, why have a block on sending your alts additional donation points? There's really no use for it. If someone wanted they could send it to their friend, who in turn, sends it to their alt.

So what you're saying is... track the donation points when they're sent to someone to make sure they don't go to the sender's alternate account!

No I mean just take the block off. People are going to get around it no matter what.

Indeed. But this way, we can at least make it more annoying of a burden for you.

I'm for making it even more of a burden!

Also, does this mean Shadow is admitting to breaking the rules? :O

The irony is, he did this close to the same time he applied to be a moderator~.

I have sent dp to my alts before. Who hasn't? Which is why the ban is useless.

Here is the exact quote from the rules on the server:

Quote
4. Yet: You are not allowed to make a multiaccount just to get yourself more donation points, gold, buffs (marriage), etc. To put it short, you should not do so to benefit one character through the other. If you do, punishment includes cancellation of credited donation points and a ban from the server.

5. To stress it: Do not transfer donation points from one multiacc to the other.

Think this is pretty clear, you can't use one account to benefit another.
If you want DP on multiple accounts, then donate on each of them.

If you want to break the rules, then maybe we should talk to Neji about upholding the "cancellation of donation points and a ban" part. :P

Bad thread Shadow. Rules are rules, so I'll wait to see what happens next. Reimu, I wonder why you aren't on the staff.

That would be because, Neji doesn't need anymore moderators at the present moment in time, and if he did, odds are he'd be wanting someone with the ability to code to take pressure off himself, to which I cannot code.

That and I've applied for moderation like, once.

In 2006.

I'm aware of the coding parts, just saying you seem highly useful, maybe like a GM, the same as Taraka.

SL only really needs one GM...

Anyway, this thread is going off-topic; @Shadow: Some things are better off neither said nor mentioned.

Just as Renascence says.  While its entirely acceptable to have as many accounts as your little heart desires, you cannot use one account to self-benefit another; no self-referrals, no self-donation point transferring, no self-funding.

I do believe self funding is okay with Neji. I can give a key to my alt and have him get gold from the coffers to help him level up faster. Though giving points to my alt is not allowed? It seems to me like it would be reversed. :/
