Direct: Tsukuyomi.
Indirect: Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique.
Note that Tsukuyomi targets a specific target via direct eye-contact, meaning that eye-contact must be made for the genjutsu to function. The target is the focus of the technique, rather than an area/environment.
Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique is designed to work on an extensive surface and fool others through their normal sense of perception when they enter the area of effect, as opposed to directly manipulating it (the senses).
I suppose, direct is manipulating somebody's senses, while indirect is exploiting those senses (while still affecting their brain in shape or form).
Note while some genjutsu have a prerequisite to be fulfilled in order to properly function (such as by first making contact (physical or visual) with the target), orders can be activated by simply forming the hand seals for them. The latter really, are what the mask renders null, while the others would still operate in the way that they do.
It's a matter of perspective.
Edit: If you were observing somebody through a camera and they tried to use Tsukuyomi on it (by looking at it), would you on the receiving end be induced by it?
