Hey guys, I think maps are really popular on SL. How do I know?

There's a map topic linking to another map topic that links to another map topic. Even tailed beast discussions don't get that luxury most of the time. 

I propose that some sort of written explanation for some of the unknowns be presented. Ooo ooh, we could put a link to all the map topics in the village news section, so that people have a frame of reference for location.

Before any kind of map stuff is talked, people should probably decide first if there's unexplored lands to the west of earth and wind countries or just the sea, cause both kinds of maps exist.

Personally I've so far gone with the former.

I always just imagined it was an exceptionally tiny planet and that if you went off the map to the west of Suna you'd wind up in the Land of Water.

I like to think that the world's a lot bigger than the map presents it to be. It adds a lot more creativity to the RP world if you just throw the fog of war on everything beyond the map's borders. After all, it's not like more creativity/originality in a game like this that's full of sages and sharingans is a bad thing.

I had kind of thought that the Naruto world was like it's own continent, like Australia, but further out in the sea and away from other lands, but I don't know. I suppose this would be something that we as a site would discuss and request as a feature update to the map, like Senor Ace hinted towards

I agree. A big map like that would allow for people to RP coming from lands outside of the Narutoverse. Or, go on cool RP journeys. I mean, a map without all that stuff isn't going to stop me from doing it anyway...But more detail is always better.
