Activity Clause (CLOSED)
« on: December 05, 2015, 10:59:11 PM »

Please make one reply with a yes or no vote. If no, please state which section, or all of them, that is objectionable to you and include a short explanation of your vote if you wish. If other items need to be included here concerning the activity clause and its purpose, please include those with your vote.

  • Participants must commit to activity.
  • Hosts must make an RP post in public once every 14 days while not engaged in an active challenge.
  • Hosts who do not make an 'idle time' RP post once every 14 days will have their bijuu striped by the council.
  • During a match, hosts and challengers must make a post to the RP once every 7 days.
  • A Host or Challenger who fails to make a post to the RP match once every 7 days, without posting a notice of absence to the forum host thread in question, will forfeit the match. During this forfeit, the bijuu will either remain with the host, in the event of challenger inactivity, or be transferred to the challenger, in the event of host inactivity.
  • The purpose of making a notification of absence post is to permit life to happen without wrecking your participation in the bijuu activity.
  • Consider before becoming involved in bijuu activity if your life will permit such a rigid time commitment before entering into this timed RP role. This will greatly reduce potential conflicts for the community.
Extenuating circumstances during the 'idle phase' of a host:
Most events occur so as to permit making a post at some time during your 14 days to alert the community that 'something' is going on. Your leave of absence notice will reset the clock to a 14 day absence max. Should you need more time than that...which adds up to possibly a whole month if your notice occurs on day 14...then it is requested you step down as a host and try again later when your life will permit participation again. You will not be banned from challenging someone for another bijuu. But the SL community will be permitted to move on. The council will handle requests for concessions on a case by case basis and their decision will be binding.

Extenuating circumstances during an active match: Here the activity clause is 7 days, in order to keep the fight moving along to a conclusion. Posting for a leave of absence is essential to holding your slot in the match. Should this not be possible, the council will determine how to handle the situation at the time of your return upon request dependent upon a challenger waiting list, if the beast has already been transferred, or how it impacts current RP. All decisions of the council will be binding.

No.

Why should the council discuss something over this when the last section gives the Jink/bijuu owner a reset of 14 days? You might as well just give the person another week (preferably less; a few extra  days) to post.

No requests, the host WILL step down as host.

Misspelled "stripped", but more importantly, what is "idle time"? Sitting in a bar oggling the ladies? Taking a nap? All of the above plus anything else a slong as its an active post? If it's the latter no need to include "idle time" in the description.

Make it clear that the reason this is being stated is that there will be punishments for those who abuse this leave of absence thing. Like, any abuse at all. Warrant for forfeit of match, loss of biju, bans, etc.

Only problem I have is with who the beast goes to if its stripped for inactivity. I posted something in other thread about it, but seeing as this is almost same thing I'll mention it here too.

"I proposed something regarding this earlier, it mighta gone ignored. In case of a challenge, I was saying if the fight hasn't begun before inactivity strip happens, the beast would go to someone from the village/organization/whatever, IF the new person is willing to fight the challenger right away (preparation time could be discussed). If no willing person is found, or the second one goes inactive too, or the stripped host wasn't part of anything to begin with, then it goes to challenger."
