Mastering a Bijuu [Closed]
« on: February 05, 2016, 08:04:37 PM »

Please vote yes or no. Please provide a suggestion for the number of weeks each level of mastery should take.

*] Mastering a Bijuu

The beast must be completely mastered before the Jinchuriki can access Tailed Beast Mode. The Bijuu Bomb can only be used while in Tailed Beast Mode. The Bijuu’s passive ability can be accessed immediately upon being sealed with the beast, but the power will be weaker than someone who has mastered the beast. It takes time to master the passive abilities of a bijuu. This will occur in five stages consisting of [insert number] weeks each, with a mid rage evolution stage to access partial transformations.
  • 25% - grants access to C ranked jutsu in the beast's passive ability. The host has access to the Initial Jinchūriki Form.
  • 50% - grants access to B ranked jutsu in the beast's passive ability. The host has access to the Version 1 Cloak.
  • Partial Transformation - Although no additional access to the beast's passive ability have been acquired, control over the transformative stages now includes the finesse to perform partial transformations.
  • 75% - grants access to A ranked jutsu in the beast's passive ability. The host has access to the Version 2 Cloak.
  • 100% - grants access to S ranked jutsu in the beast's passive ability. The host has access to Tailed Beast Mode.
If a Jinchuriki attempts to access more tails than they have mastered they will lose control of the beast. If they were not already in a V2 cloak they will immediately ascend to such at the level of tails they attempted to access. They must then rp is much the same way as Naruto having lost control of Kurama. The host is unconscious and subject to the whims of a furious bijuu. They will attack perpetually until anything that could be perceived as an opponent is killed, this includes their own summons, such as animals or Edo Tensei zombies. The host will gain a tail each turn starting after the turn they first lost control. After reaching the maximum number of tails in the V2 state the host will ascend to the full bijuu form on the next turn. If this happens the host is killed and the challenger need only subdue the rampaging bijuu to win the match. [Note: This is a stopping the match issue, until the consequences of accessing powers that have not been acquired are included.]
And so...each host must include upon his bio on SL, and in his forum preference thread, his tail level mastery.

I vote yes, and 3 weeks for each level of mastery.

Yes. Three weeks is good for each stage. It isn't supposed to be instant for one to master each tail from what I've seen in the past.

I'm comfortable with three weeks per tail, so I vote yes.

That's nice Kamui, however it's not graded on tails, but 5 evolutionary stages, regardless of number of tails.
So rather than 3 week to master Shukaku and 27 weeks to master Kyuubi, it is 15 weeks for all hosts regardless of their bijuu. Hosts, not summoners.

Yes.

Make the consequences of ascending too high cause the user to fight only like a rabid tailed beast, and thus be unable to perform any specialized jutsu beyond cloak powers, and of being unable to break out of powerful genjutsu or something to that effect.

Fine with mastery time.

What's the point of the going over mastery thing tho? Host being as good as dead but getting their one last change to screw over the challenger so neither might get it?

Well if it's ooc you could release the bijuu entirely and win and then it's fine you just win.

I was recalling basically everyone agreed before if you go over your mastery then you're basically done, as good as dead. My point was do we just cut it off there or do we allow the basically already lost host to try screw over the challenger too, in which case they might lose as well and both are dead.

Hmmm. It is steadily becoming a convoluted issue. It seems like if we go the route where the host is NOT done if they go over-mastery that it is an exploitable situation. In that instance, who would be RPing the rogue bijuu anyway?

It might be best to declare them done. Did Naruto ever get himself under control after such a situation without outside aid?

Never. He always needed somebody to forcibly suppress it, be it Jiraya, Kakashi, Yamato or deus ex machina Minato.

Yeah so if it is IC you die unless someone can suppress you. Until someone decides they have a seal that automatically does it or something. That being said if you know you're going to die you might decide to try and take them with you. For OOC if you go mad and kill them you still win, it's an OOC fight.

I don't understand the part where you say, if you go mad and kill them its still a win in an OOC match.

Why is that true?

If it is true then it should not be. You should not get to win for god modding, and that is what going over your mastery is. IC or OOC should not make a difference with that issue.

It's not god mod at all. It's a thing explicitly proven by the manga. The jinchuriki can choose to give in to their bijuu if they want. If your alive at the end of an ooc fight and your opponent isn't you win. End of story. I don't know if we actually have rules for a draw though.
