How many people have looked at the stat page? It's a bit of a surprising to see the amount of posts and topics throughout the years. For example, 2013 had the least amount of posts, but the most page views and second-most new members. Did something in particular happen that year?

And it looks like 2007/8 were the golden years regarding number of posts.

i wonder if the stats recorded the spam bot attack we had when numerous accounts were created by them everyday, thus requiring that new account must be validated by a mod before activation to ensure they are a human?

Spam bot attack? What happened? They just constantly post links?

they made numerous new accounts every day and then posted advertisements for all manner of things. it just kept growing more and more everyday. so open membership was closed and validation for new accounts was instituted.

I wonder if the spam bots have died down a bit. I remember, when I first got here I always would see people 'creating an account' but never see the 'newest member' change. I wonder if the traffic is still as bad but it doesn't affect anything because of the rule.

We had the Spamtastic 4, good sir. These individuals would spend any and all time posting random things to each other. Seriously, check the spam section.

The site stats did take the spam accounts into it for some reason. Near 10,000 new members last year makes it obvious.

The stats I always enjoyed looking at just to see if I ever reached the top 10 in any. (#6 most time online; 35 days and counting)

As Asadi said there were a few people who spammed the hell out of the forums. New posts a day is at 60. Take away Shiki's account and accualy is spah's and a lot of the stats would plummet.
