This event takes place during travels... (meaning rare since you have more forest fights than free travels)
You are walking along the road when you see a small caravan. You can see a few carts that you assume have some merchandise on them, and about four guards, maybe shinobi. You see one man who seems to be giving orders to the rest of the group...
1: Sneak up on them to get more information
1(a)[/color] You stepped on a twig and alerted the guards, you were chase away by the guards [lose 1 forest fight] 1(b) You stepped on a twig and alerted the guards, you trip and fell while you were running away [lose some hitpoints] 1(c) You stepped on a twig and alerted the guards, you were caught and beat up like a thief [lose a lot of hitpoints and also your weapon] 1(d) While you were following behind the caravan, a group of bandits attacked the convoy. 2: Try to talk to the leader
2(a) The leader sees you coming, and readies his guards... (fight four guys; if you win, you notice the caravan got away) 2(b) The leader sees you coming, and suspiciously questions you. "Hello, warrior. What do you want with us?" You answer him... [chances: 2(a) evil 60% good 40% neutral 50%, 2(b) evil 40% good 60% neutral 50%]*continued later
3: Ignore it
You continue on your trek, and soon forget about the caravan, until you later hear about a brutal massacre of a small merchant's convoy...
1: (continued) You...
a. Help the convoy. [Fight group of bandits; increases "good" alignment. The caravan leader thanks you, but cannot give you anything now. You get ______ exp]
b. Raid the caravan during the confusion. [increases "evil" alignment. You found ______ gold]
c. Decide against participating. [You quietly sneak away from the action,[GOOD] feeling guilty about not helping... or [EVIL] feeling like you missed out on a good opportunity to take in the spoils... Lose a forest fight, charm points, etc...]
2: (continued) You answer...
a. I would like to escort you to your destination, if you wouldn't mind, good sir. [You advise the leader to take a different rout, because you know of the many ambushes happen on this road. Increases "good" alignment, you end up in ____ country]
b. You knock the man and his guards out. [gain random amount of gold or 1-3 gems, Increases[/color] "evil" alignment]
c. Oh, nothing... sorry to have bothered you. [Nothing happens, you go on your way]
*happens anytime after the above event; outcomes affect first choices...*
As you walk by, you notice the caravan leader.
(if you helped him in any way...) "Hello again, warrior! Good to see you again! WIth your help, the stock reached it's destination, and everyone is all right! I couldn't pay you before, but I've got something for you now... ["Traveling Merchants" will be optional at country menu for 3 game days, it's the same as the scroll/potion/loot paddler]
(If you attacked them...) The caravan leader sees you and calls his guards, "IT'S HIM! GET HIM!" When you realize what's happening, you start to run, but are soon cut off by two burly shinobi. The caravan leader walks up to you. "Because of you, some of my men died, and our merchandise is gone! You've got to pay it back, NOW!" [For 3 game days, you will be attacked by guards whenever you travel]
