Like I said, there isn't much choice. Saying, 'we're unique cuz we have just Samurai,' isn't going to get any members.

Is it really even necessary to have a clan for that land in particular, in the first place? If members are what you are after, then you should probably scrap the idea of having a Land of Iron clan and go for something that might interest a broader range of players. Quantity does not equate to quality.

You have a point. But how can quality matter if not even a single person is around to appreciate said quality?

There will be a single person, however.  You yourself, as the clan's founder. Besides, it isn't as though you're the only member of it.

I basically say, do whatever you want. You're the leader of the land of Iron, if you want to import ninja and then gradually teach them samurai ways, I say go for it. Ultimately everything falls upon you, direction of the clan, components, members, etc.

So, go with what you think is best, and ignore the rest

I think my answer is pretty obvious judging by what I've been saying in this topic.

You actually have not really said anything, except for one post saying don't make it like a Ninja Village, and quoting Rares. I'll just assume your answer is no anyhow. Well, I made this topic to discover what people think is acceptable for the village to do, but all I've read is people saying don't add Ninja, but nothing on how to utilize the clan to its fullest.

I remember someone saying that they could be given missions, but with Samurai's only, the two members would not really be able to do much, or have anyone to interact with besides themselves.

I don't really see a need for the Land of Iron in terms of it being a clan, but I'm not gonna stop you either.

This topic is becoming exceedingly repetitive. To clarify, I am not asking people whether or not the clan should exist or not, for it shall as long as I will it to. What I am attempting to do, is find out what would be acceptable to people, while being beneficial for the clan itself. If nothing is to come up, then I will make the clan the way I see fit, while I establish an RP existence. If people end up not liking it, tough.

Suggestion: Make people either reformat their character history respectively or have them incorporate iaido into their fighting style. The latter at the very least would encourage the development of hybrids, and who knows, perhaps those who undergo the change will make kenjutsu their preferred fighting style?

Well, things were cleared up, he was doing just as Kayenta said, asking for permission to form the land of iron. Of course, anyone can do that. The series level status of the land of Iron is a whole other deal though.

If, indeed, you are correct, then I see no need for my clan to be in his MOtD. But I would want to hear it from him. And I don't really see the need for you to disregard Oto like that. It is inconsiderate.

Nor was I trying to make Oto one of the great nations. But while it may not be part of the great five, it is still an acknowledged village, which in turn acknowledges me.

I only acknowledged it cause it's in-game, after part I of Naruto you never see another Oto-nin. I've never acknowledge the Otokage either. But back on subject, I would suggest that you just do whatever you want with the clan; I'm actually struggling to understand why you need our input.
