Seeking for advanture
« on: August 25, 2006, 01:33:09 PM »

Neji wants us to earn our gems right? So here it is =D

Nobunaga Castle (Fire Country)
Temple of Sand (Wind Country)
Orochimaru's Lair (Rice Field Country)
Underwater Shrine (Water Country)

Like the Kyuubi dungeon idea, once you enter the castle/temple/lair/shrine, you will have to go through a series of maze like paths to get to the treasure at the end.

The maze is made out of:
1)Fixed paths so remember which path you took.
2)Paths that takes you around in circles to waste your turns for nothing.
3)Traps that take away your HP (You will meet the shinigami if you
   run out of HP)
4)Small surprises like extra turn(s), free heal, picking up items, finding a
gem or two, picking up some gold coins, spirits that scare the hell out of
you & kick you out, strange potions that +/- charm/maxHP/stat (the
stat increased go away after a DK), etc
5)Paths that lead you to dead ends & kick you out.
6)Tough guardians that're gonna kick you behind if you don't kick their's.
7)Multiple paths to get to the end.
8)A dungeon boss at the end.
9)And the enormous loot at the end of the dungeon!

Here's the catch:
1)Only jounin and above may enter or the guards will stop you from
entering such dangerous places. (or you wouldn't see it at all)
2)You have to be at level 15.
3)You can't heal by paying gold like in the forest. Actually, there is no
   healing option.
4)You die if you run out of turns.
5)If a guardian kills you, you might lose your weapon/armor/items.
6)There is no full heal before the boss fight. If the boss kills you, you lose
   your weapon and armor!
7)You will be even more legendary than getting the level 2 curse seal if you
make it through because getting to the end of the dungeon alone is
almost impossible without extra turns from mounts, shops & the dungeon
   itself!
8)Once a dungeon has been beaten, it will disappear for 30 days (for the
boss to resurrect itself). That's why there are 4 dungeons.

What do you get if you make it through hell?
1)You get to be on the news & H.O.F
2)Permanent HP/turn/attack/defend from defeating the boss (doesnt count
   as a Dragon Kill thou)
3)The Elixir of Immortality (+100 pemanent HP) or
The sealed chest (gain 100 gems) or
A bottle of Dragon Blood (+5 permanent attack & defend)
4)You get to brag about it for at least a month =D

1)Did I put 400?
2)Each one of those dungeons as a different maze.
3)Even if you know the path, there are still traps, events and guardians
that will try to stop/kill you.
4)Can you make it to the end before your turns ran out?
5)Having enough jutsu & HP left for the boss battle is the hardest part.

*cough* big rewards. I know people who would give up playing and only go into such a dungeon.

the orochimaru hideout is basically what you want, yet with a bit different structure. and less rewards.

this project would be as big as  the kekkei genkai engine... so this is (due to the nature) down the list.

Also, I try to give people gems step by step... one by one... not 100 on a single spot.

think about more than just "go into a dungeon and do things" ;) I won't invent new modules in the next weeks, so grab 1 idea, and think through it oftenly if you want. =)

The idea is good, yet a lot to do... really. there are some dungeon modules out there, I might take a look into those... yet there may be bugs in there too...

I know this thing is gonna be BIG and having 4 dungeons just made it 4 times BIGGER.

The reward is big because of how hard it would be to get to the end of the dungeon and then you have to beat the freaking boss that has more HP than Orochimaru > <

Most people will just go in & hope to come out with a few gems.

I'm not expecting this module to be ready for at least 6 months after you (Neji) finished your test >.>

P/S: I don't think anyone below Kage or without Kyuubi will make it to the end...

I like the idea, But it would seem way to hard. plus losing weapons and armor scares me.

"4)You die if you run out of turns."

That.. I can't even stand at all. I'd expect this to be a fairly large dungeon... Not some 25 - 45 turn walk through the park.

Difficult, indeed. I like challenges.. But the turns part is just too much.

It sounds like a good idea, but I probably wouldn't do it. Too many risks. I'm a big chicken XD

An escape talisman/scroll will solve that problem.

One dungeon means you will have to wait a month before the dungeon becomes accessable again after someone has beaten the boss >.>
