Live Fire Exercise: Deathstroke vs Ryoji
« on: August 10, 2015, 07:15:19 AM »

Zone is Abandoned Town

Deathstroke would enter the town, making his way to a building he had his eye on previously. It was near the north end and a story or two taller than nearly any other building, a good vantage point. He was weighed down with all his weapons, twin pistols, twin submachine guns, a rifle, his staff, and twin swords, plus the full battle armor and the pouches of equipment on it. It was not something he wasn't used to though. One of the members of the Sound village had offered to be his crash test dummy, to see how his firearms would fare in a real fight with an exceptionally powerful opponent.

Deathstroke entered the building, shutting the door behind himself, and made his way up to the fourth floor. He'd enter a room that had a window facing out into the rest of the town. Opening it, Deathstroke would unsnap the Barrett M82 rifle from his back. It's a semi-automatic anti-material rifle with a 10 round clip. Though Deathstroke has modified so that it can be loaded one bullet at a time, for when he needs to switch between different types of ammunition on the fly. No good having half empty clips rolling every which way.

The man would walk over to a desk in the room and drag it over to just in front of the window. Unsnapping the rifle's bipod Deathstroke would set it down on the desk and take aim out the window. He was no rookie that was going to stick the barrel of the gun out the window.

All they had agreed on was that Ryoji was going to enter the town on the south end, in Deathstroke's sights, and see what happened. The assassin loaded one bullet, striped around the edge with a brown color for identification, and waited.

Entering from the Southern side of the empty town, Roji could be seen garbed in his usual attire. A full length haori with the Otogakure symbol brandishing the back along with a loose fitting kimono underneath. Upon his hip would be two swords one over the other, the first being the Sword of Kusanagi, and the other would be the Dragon blade; each weapon dangerous for different reasons. His visage would be cast out by the shadow from the straw hat that was placed upon his head, thus hiding that his eyes were closed. Likely to be unknown by Deathstroke, Ryoji would be utilizing the Mind’s eye of the Kagura to track his opponent from vast distances away. 10Km being his sensory range for the time being. So Deathstroke's position in the building along with any chakra based weapons and ammunition in his possession would not be lost to the Uchiha.

Stopping a good 10 city blocks from the building in which his opponent would nest, Ryoji cautiously gripped the hilt of his kusanagi while bending his knees slightly in preparation for what was to come. He knew very little of the contraption that his opponent had put together for this, thus he waited, ready to react at a moments notice. One could notice that the man tilted his head slightly in the direction of Deathstroke's position, as he utilized his incredible Ototon ability to try and gain that additional edge in battle.

While he currently stood in the center of the road directly in front of the window that Deathstroke was in, there would be 3 different alleyways for Ryoji to retreat into. One on his left and two on his right. Each would lead into a maze of other passages for the man to take, leading to various location within the city.

Deathstroke had no means to stop Ryoji from sensing him, so the man would be able to keep track of him as he intended. However Deathstroke also had Ryoji in his sights. The man clearly meant to wait and see what Deathstroke could do, so far be it from him to disappoint. The assassin would center his sights on the ground directly between Ryoji's feet. His finger wrapped around the trigger and he pulled it. As soon as he did, a flare of chakra would be detectable, like a torch suddenly flaring to life, though only for a split second, as that was what propelled the bullet out of the gun. Notably this would be detectable just before the bullet actually fires.

That being said his rifle has a muzzle velocity of about 850 meters per second, about half way into Mach 2. The bullet would impact before a normal person would even hear the shot, though Ryoji was no normal man.

Should the bullet hit the ground where it is aimed, or be met with sufficient enough force regardless, the payload would release a rapidly expanding foam. The foam would expand with the space of a second or two and and then harden, occupying a diameter of about 5 feet, and would wrap Ryoji from the shoulders down in a concrete strength polyurethane. That was all assuming it struck where it was aimed, of course.

(OOC: For any wondering if a bullet would be big enough to hold various tricks and traps this is a picture of the .50 BMG  rounds the Barrett fires, the one on the far right. http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb122/RagnarokEOTW/IMG_1280.jpg )

The ignition process, and the sharp displacement of the air as the bullet traveled, these were hints to Ryoji allowing him to deduce the initial nature of the assault; he was firing forth a projectile of some sort. The speed at which the attack would move was startling, the Uchiha kicking off with his already bent knees to rise above the bullet. It was then that the foam began to expand, the noise registering the event while his eyes were closed. “Trick tools huh? Hmph. Well, how do you like this?!?” he would call out as he drew a Kunai from his pouch spinning it around his finger before gripping the handle in order to place a fuinjutsu upon it. This would be a special seal that was developed by the Uzumaki clan, the Explosive seal.

While in mid air he would flip, gaining decent forward momentum as he reared back the tool. Within his hand he would begin to create two opposing magnetic forces around it, and just as he would launch his hand forward, he would release those pent up magnetic forces, firing the kunai forth at insane levels of speeds similar to that of the bullet Deathstroke had just fired. The kunai would aim to impact the first level of the building that deathstroke was hiding in, and detonate with the force of 5 explosive tags. More than enough to destroy the building’s foundation, bringing it down on the man within.

Deathstroke would have time to load another bullet, this one with a light blue demarcation.  The man would run and leap out the window in front of him as the weapon detonated on the lower floors. He'd land on the roof of an adjacent building, roll, and come up into a crouching position with his rifle at the ready. He'd be aimed at Ryoji's position as the man landed from his leap, and would quickly fire again, this time aimed for the center of mass.

The payload would split open about fifteen feet from Ryoji into a large group of birdshot slugs. As it did so Raiton chakra would arc between the dozens of pellets forming a 10 foot by 10 foot "net" of electricity. The net would aim to hit Ryoji and stun him with the electric charge, which would render him unable to move for about thirty seconds, if it hit.

The Uchiha would take notice of Deathstroke’s new position, a small smile creeping across his lips. At this stage of the fight, Ryoji already had a general idea of what was to come after sensing the flash of chakra once again. His only issue would be determining the nature of this particular shot. Suddenly, the shot would expand into the netlike formation just before the raiton would be flowed through.

He knew he didn’t have time to avoid all of the attack considering it’s speed, but he needed a way to take less damage. Within the blink of an eye Ryoji’s hand would have gripped onto the Dragon blade and drew it from the scabbard upon his hip, while simultaneously tucking his body to roll into the adjacent ally on his left hand side, several of the pellets connecting with his leg, tearing through the flesh with incredible force

Despite this, Deathstroke would be able to notice that the raiton that had previously been flowing through the few pellets that had made contact with Ryoji would have been sucked away only seconds before impact. This was because of the Dragon blades innate ability to absorb the chakra that composed the opponent's attacks.

Now in the alleyway, out of Deathstroke's line of sight, Ryoji would begin to examine his injury. Luckily for him, most of his body was actually composed of threads due to his jiongu, so while the beads did tear through his flesh, the overall damage done to his body was minimal at best.

Quickly the man would form a single hand seal, and from his person, a multitude of bunshin would begin to appear. Though these were not the Kage bunshin that most Shinobi used, these were just regular old illusions made to imitate the original.

From the alley, 10 different Ryoji would burst out, each one taking to a different rooftop as they moved towards deathstroke, trying to make him either waste his time and energy on the bunshin, or have him fall back.

Meanwhile, the original would remain on street level, swiftly moving through the alley ways to remain hidden from sight. He had hoped to soon position himself at Deathstroke's flank, but that would take some time.

Deathstroke would quickly relatch his rifle onto his back after firing his second shot. Ryoji was too close now for the weapon to be viable. He would unsheathe one of his blades and hold it in his right hand as well as pull one of his HK MP5 submachine guns out of its holster, and hold it in his left. The weapon was fitted with a 30 round magazine. It could fire single shot, semi-automatic, or fully automatic, it was currently set to semi-automatic.

It was then that the multitude of Bunshin would appear and begin to charge at Deathstroke. He quickly raised his gun and was about to fire until he heard, or rather did not hear, any noise from them. They did not generate any sound even as they charged quickly over the rooftops toward him, and he realized it was a feint. The assassin would close his eyes and listen intently, it would not be the first time he had used his hearing over his sight. The man would be able to quickly pick up on the sound of the real Ryoji running down the alleyways, off to his left side, no doubt trying to get the drop on him.

Deathstroke would turn and dash toward the source of the noise, leaping between the rooftops. As he got closer, no doubt known by Ryoji, he would summon three small flash bombs to his hand, via the seals on his armors wrists. They were eye ball sized metal spheres that detonated on a timer. Deathstroke’s hands were of course full but that would not stop him from making use of them. The bombs would appear in mid-air in front of him and he’d flick them with the flat of his blade, sending them down into the alleyway at the source of the noise. As soon as they crested the roof top that would put them into Ryoji’s sight the bombs would detonate. Flashbangs of course produce an abundance of light and sound, that would attempt to both blind and deafen Ryoji, disorienting him. Deathstroke’s mask negated both the noise and light produced, which is why he so heavily favors the weapons in his fights.

Presuming the flash bombs would have some negative effect on Ryoji, the assassin would not have stopped moving since summoning them. Leaping off the roof just after the bombs blew he would fly over the man, firing at him as he goes, and attempt to land about ten feet behind him. He shot 4 three round bursts at Ryoji as he leapt, the gun containing rubber sealing bullets of his own design. Two bursts were aimed at the torso and two at the legs, and if they hit they’d plant a small fuinjutsu at the point of impact. This seal would restrict the affected areas from being moved, as well as restrict chakra from being molded or flowing through there. Of course sealing the torso, where chakra is produced, would also effectively stop the target from using Ninjutsu or Genjutsu at all. The downside is that, in order to allow mass production for his ammunition, the seal is not particularly strong, in fact, the effect would stop all on its own after several minutes, though in Deathstroke’s line of work that is usually several more minutes than he needs.

Ryoji would indeed notice that Deathstroke had seen through the distraction and was heading this way. With a quick scan he would take notice of a nearby window that he would be using in only a moment.

With his incredible attention to detail, Ryoji would hear the clang of the projectiles being sent via sword, though he knew not the nature of their purpose. Quickly he would begin to shift his weight when the flash bombs went off, blinding and deafening him at the same time. He would grimace, but in the end this would do little for his sight. While his real eyes were now blinded, the mind’s eye was more than seeing with your real eyes. That's why Ryoji’s eyes were closed at the beginning of the match.

Now blinded, he would leap through the window and into the home he was passing, rolling on the floor before landing in a crouched position just as deathstroke was firing the first of the shots (If he chose to fire the rest after seeing Ryoji roll away was up to him.) He made a mental note of the change in weaponry. He was now firing at a far more rapid rate, but what he gained in rate of fire he would sacrifice in range. At least that was what Ryoji had hoped for in the future, now was a different story.

Quickly he would flow through a set of hand seals in a blur before slamming his palms on the ground just as Deathstroke was to land outside. “Doton: Yomi Numa!”

Suddenly, the entirety of the small alleyway would become a swamp like substance. This included both the ground and the walls surrounding the enclosed space. This technique was usually used on a decent sized area, so what it lacked in width it would trade for in depth. The swamp would be a whopping 50 feet deep, able to sink a man within only seconds. With the walls on the sides also being made of mud, the structure would quickly give way, causing more swamp to potentially wash over his Assassin from both sides and bury him within.

Whether it succeeded or failed, Ryoji would immediately begin to create distance from this location, stumbling a bit as he used his hands to guide his way through the small home, trying to get out on the other side before this building potentially fell now that it lacked an entire wall. His mind’s eye would track Deathstroke in the meantime, as to not be caught off guard on this one.

Deathstroke continued to fire to keep Ryoji moving, however, he would find himself falling into the trap laid by his opponent. Fortunately for the assassin his armor would reduce the effectiveness of it to not much more than a normal mud puddle. Due to the armor's capability to absorb chakra the adhesive properties of the mud would be stolen away. Before the mud washes over him Deathstroke would abandon his sword and reach to a tool pouch where he would extract a grappling gun.

The gas powered device would fire a hook through one of the falling waves of mud and impale into the wall of the house that Ryoji had escaped into, pulling Deathstroke up and out of the mud as it retracted. He would quickly stow the gun and draw his second SMG as Ryoji made his way out of the damaged house.

Following him outside as the effects of the flashbang would begin to wear off Deathstroke would take aim with the SMG he had already fired and fire the remaining 18 rounds at Ryoji. as he flicked the other gun to full auto.
