Talk about getting the rug pulled from right under your feet, pain coursing through Athos' body the moment he found his own teeth tearing through it. Those golden hues of his had taken in the sight of the now Kurama Enhanced Bocchiere, widening as the black pupils within his eyes would take the form of his EMS, though they wouldn't really play into the effects of what he was going to do. Athos had known what happened when his tongue was bitten off, blood filling his mouth, and he would instantly snap his shadow away from Bocchiere, just before he found his own thumbs driving straight into his eyes. In that moment, Bocchiere had taken control of Athos and because of that, he would have also taken control of Madara and Kirk, each of them being forced to mimic each of the aforementioned actions and stopping Kirk momentarily from being able to do anything for only moments...
The second that Athos had severed connections with Kirk, he found himself still not under control of his own body, Madara being forced to copy the two brothers in their act. Athos had almost no time as Kirk went to plunge his thumb towards his chest and if he released the hold on Kirk, there would be an unstoppable force on the field... So there really was only one thing that Athos could have done in that moment. He summoned forth lightning around his hand as his thumb came towards his chest, calling forth the One Finger Nukite upon his digit, letting it plunge into the Gate that was located within his heart. In the second before his skin was pierced, Athos' left eye would spin rapidly as he would utilize the control of his Senju cells and activate Izanagi. This gave him one minute, tops.
Athos' tongue wound would have already scabbed over and began to fully recover thanks to his healing factor, but he had held the blood in his mouth as not to start choking on it for those moments. But when his Eighth Gate was opened and the red vapor of the demon came from him, his mouth opened as he let out a breath and instead of the blood that was there before, red steam would escape his mouth. His long hair, which had fallen to his waist, would have seemed to become fire as this attack activated. Now, as the Eighth Gate was forced open thanks to Kirk, several things would happen. In this moment, Kirk would no longer be in control of his own body again, seeing he had no way of overpowering Athos' Shadow Possession. And because of the newly acquired strength of the Uzumaki, Madara would also find himself unable to stop Athos, even if he had happened to be a user of the Gates as well.
But the most important thing out of all of this was the moment that Athos had control over his body again, he moved to strike. It was stated before that Bocchiere and Athos were merely six meters apart, which really wasn't all that great of a distance when you consider the rate either of them could move right now. Currently, it came down to who was faster and even in his upgraded form, thanks to the Eighth Gate, Bocchiere should stand no chance. Athos' left hand flew from his side and from it came the first of five attacks as he would begin the Evening Elephant, stepping forward into the attack as it flew forward. It would take almost no time at all for the force of the attack to reach Bocchiere, almost as though it would have started right in front of his face once Athos' arm moved. But unlike Kirk had planned to do, Athos wasn't going to stop at one of the strikes.
For the first time in what lifetimes but had been years Athos felt something burning inside of his stomach; anger. Bocchiere was the man who had single-handedly torn his life apart countless times, for nothing but his own amusement most of the time. No, Athos wasn't going to stop at the first strike as he thought of the first time his soul left this planet. Had the first strike hit Bocchiere, though it was hard to see it not doing so, given how easily the move had taken care of the Ten Tails Jinchuuriki, he wouldn't find himself making it close to the barrier before the second strike would hopefully come from behind. The force greater than the first's, already enough to cause Bocchiere to see black from the sheer force alone. Even as he felt muscles tearing in his whole body, he didn't stop. He couldn't, the man had taken things much worse than his own life. His love, the third strike would come from underneath Bocchiere as he was sent careening forward uncontrollable, sending him upwards and causing all the organs in his body to shift suddenly and at an extremely dangerous angle.
Even as he felt his bones threatening to break, he couldn't stop. He had buried so many of his own children, unable to stop Bocchiere. Not anymore. The forth would come from above and from the front, having come faster than the others had and carrying all the hate and pain that he had for the Jashinist, the man who tormented not only this realm, but his life for so long. And even as right hand broke beneath all the force finally, he didn't stop the fifth strike that would come. Not anymore, he wouldn't fall victim, he wouldn't lose someone. That wasn't how this was going to go. The fifth strike would come faster than them all and hit the hardest, from above and behind Bocchiere. This blow would send him facing downwards and into the ground, if he could even use any of his organs at this point, or if they were even organs still and not something akin to literal mush. The last blow would drive Bocchiere into the ground with his face buried in it, deep into the ground, and hopefully leave the man unable to do, well, anything. Despite all the pain he was feeling, ribs broken as well as his right arm, his willpower and anger would keep him going. He would end this today.
Now Kirk had tried to strike Athos with this technique but would be unable since the redhead would be in control of him and even if Kirk had decided to still mimic Athos fully and decided to release the Evening Elephant, Athos would be out of his range instantly and not only that, but his shadow would still be connected to Kirk as he struck Bocchiere each time. What this meant was that Kirk would not only pass by Athos, Jay, and the whole battle but he would helplessly be forced to waste away his 'life' and tear his body apart until the point where he could no longer move. And preformed the Evening Elephant would only cause Kirk's time of activity shortened. The same could be said about Madara but only if he had the Eighth Gates and wasn't destroyed by Jay's attack. Had Madara survived and not been a user of the Gates, his body would be forced to go at rates that it wouldn't be able to keep up with, muscles, bone, and tendons tearing him to the point of no humanly return, at least without a long revive and healing time.
It was easy to say that Bocchiere could try to react to the attack, though one could say he doubted Athos would let Kirk force him into the Eighth Gate, having hoped to also catch him on the guard. The Jashinist could try and turn himself into fire, that was for sure, but if he did that the sheer force and speed of the Evening Elephant would be able to extinguish the flames from existence with great ease. It would also go to show Bocchiere wouldn't be able to see currently, thanks to the fact that he stabbed his own eyes in an attempt to steal Athos' sight and would have no way of knowing Athos barely stopped himself from losing his eyes, meaning that techniques like Izanagi and any Space-Time or just Space Ninjutsu were out of the question as well. This technique was enough to temporarily stop the Ten Tails, one could imagine what it would do to Bocchiere, even with his immortality and healing factor, things the Ten Tails Jinchuuriki had also had to greater levels.
