This match will take place between Jay Nara and Ray Iburi and the winner of the match shall be granted The Strongest Shield.

The Judge will be the Sensei of the two, Athos.

The settings is Zone Six, the plains.

Special Rules:
No Buffs.
No Summons.
Basic Elements Only.
Weapons are allowed.

Ray will post first, then Jay.

[Iburi Ray]

Ray entered the way he usually does, as a cloud of smoke, that he fleshes out until that smoke become an actual entity. He wore his normal attire of a black hoodie and cargo shorts, with blue sandals. His eyes were violet due to the byakugan he has. His long black hair rested at the small of his back, as he merely gazed around looking for his brother.

Fog began to roll in from the distance, as tall as the Hokage Mountain and as vast as the plains themselves. As the fog grew closer towards the lone figure, it began to condense in a similar fashion as the Iburi had moments ago. The fog grew thicker and thicker, until it turned into actual water and splashed onto the floor 30 meters from the man. As it did this, it revealed Jay, nary a drop of water on his skin.

Dressed in a complete karate outfit, pure white in color with the belt being pitch black. The sleeves had been ripped at the shoulders, and his hair looking much shorter as it rested atop his head in a messy, manish, bun.

His golden hues looked upon his brother's position with an amused grin. "Here we are again brother. Except this time, we have our chakra."

Flailed as his brother stole half of his entrance, but he'd stop as his brother made his actual appearance. He would rub the back of his head in response to Jay's remark Hopefully I get to win this one.

With that said, Ray would weave a quick succession of kata and tapped his foot upon the ground. In doing so, four large pieces of earth would rise up in the four cardinal directions, trying to smother Jay.

Doton: Ganban Kyu

[JayJay]

As the earth began to lift from the ground, the Nara pulsed his chakra inside of him and fell into a crouching position. Lightning began to crackle around his two hands, obviously preparing them for their inevitable usage, crossing his left arm over his chest, his right arm twisting around his back just a bit. As the Earth rushed towards him, he began his technique. In the process of lifting from his crouch, lightning burst from his hands, while he spun in a full circle(1).

The lightning burst outwards in a 50 meter arc, more than enough to catch his brother in the attack, the lightning as tall as 10 meters. He was unsure of the height of the pieces of Earth, but he was assuredly compensating for the size as he used his technique. "You alright over there brother? I didn't kill you did I?"

When Jay started to crouch, Ray activated his byakugan and saw the gathering of chakra in Jay. He awaited the incoming lighting attacks and would simply turn the body part that would be hit into smoke and then fleshing it out again as he headed towards Jay's location. He would use the lifted earth of his own jutsu to push off and would aim for Jay's ankles in which he would attempt to grab them. Should he be successful, Ray would flip himself several times as he would throw down Jay straight to the ground which would easily leave a small impact crater upon impact.

The Iburi may, or may not have, misunderstood the full spectrum of his technique, the lightning gorging the ground all around him as he had spun around. The slabs of earth would have been vaporized ground a full meter down and nine meters above ground. He ended his technique as soon as he had completed his spin, as he had intended.

His senses had always been heightened and poised for action, so when his brother moved towards him he proceeded with his counter, his chakra pulsing once again. As his brother grew closer, wind exploded from around his frame, semi-powerful winds coupled with hundreds of blades(1) threatened to cut him to ribbons. While, he wasn't aiming to kill his brother, this technique would certainly damage him immensely, even if he tried to smoke out.

After this event, his golden hues bled as his 3-tomoed Sharingan swirled around his pupil. It had been awhile since he had used the base form of this Dojutsu. Nostalgia filled him from the feeling, as he awaited his brother's response.

The wind alone was enough to send Ray packing, avoiding being shredded. Landing a good 10 meters away, Ray would see Jay's eyes change to 3 tomoe state of the sharingan. He'd smile not having seen that in quite a while, before he would open his mouth and from it poured out rock. In the span of 30 seconds one could see what it was that was spewing forth from Ray's mouth. In another 30 seconds, Ray would finally be done as a giant golem took form. It stood eight feet tall and just as wide, its body would be grey, while it's eyes would be orange in color. It focused it's attack on Jay as it slowly made it way over, and would test the man, by giving a simple swing against the man's sides, strong enough to pierce through winds that surrounded Jay.

Doton: Iwa Kyojin

[JayJay]

Because of the nature of this battle, his strength couldn't be buffed by the Gravity/Ant Seals combo. Though, this allowed him the speed he loved so much. He couldn't utilize Sage Mode, which meant he couldn't use Nature Energy as a whole, so he'd have to rely on his natural durability. He wondered on the techniques inside of the five elements that could be considered as a buff. Domu, Raiton no Yoroi, Incineration Technique, just a few techniques that were useful, were possibly shelved due to the restrictions in place.

He was much more than that though, he grinned as he looked towards the golem and jumped back, increasing the distance between his opponents by a wide margin, his chakra pulsing inside of him the entire time. As he was approaching two hundred meters, the wind around him became to pick up immensely, before thinning out even more so becoming a plethora of blades capable of slicing through stone with not even a hint of resistance(1).

As this happened, he layered another... well layer of wind around him, pulling it into him as well, before it vanished altogether(2). With both sets of NinTaijutsu activated, he would be more than ready. He wasn't a master of the wind for nothing, this element alone was his brother's weakness and he was going to exploit it in its entirety.

He whats his golem get cut, but ultimately rebuild itself with the nearby stones. Ray however would jump onto the Golem's shoulder when Jay backed away. He'd use this time to bring about the element that was his brothers weakness concerning the wind at least. Ray is a master of Earth, and while lightning is his main weakness, Wind, simply put, does moderate damage to earth and vise versa, although wind, is easily known to combust. Seeing that Jay made himself a ball of wind as protection, Ray would inhale then exhale, and in doing so he used a single kata and what he released from his mouth would be a literal wave of fire. This wave lurched quickly towards Jay, and any wind caught in the way would become fuel for the fire. Meaning if Jay got caught still in his wind ball, he would become incinerated.

Katon Gōka Mekkyaku

[JayJay]

The nature of his wind wasn't for protection, nor in a state that would be capable of fanning flames. But, unlike his brother, he was aware of the technique his brother was going to use as he prepared it in his lungs. To counter this, he began to do the same, executing his Zasshu Kata.

At the same time his brother inhaled, he did as well. A mixture of wind and fire swirled in his lungs, before he exhaled out his techniques. A white flame, tinged with an orange core, burst from his mouth, spreading wide as the surrounding wind rushed from behind the Nara to further fuel his flames(1/2). The area of effect was vast, twenty-five meters on both sides of him being the orange core, while seventy-five meters after that mark was the white section of the flames.

A literal wave tsunami of wind fueled fire rushed towards the opposition, capable of turning the golem into molten slag and consuming his brother entirely. Turning into smoke may yet save his life, but the wind from this technique was still apart of it, tiny blades of wind still being within the flames, but not adding to the conflagration in anyway.

Thanks to his byakugan, Ray saw Jay gathering his chakra into his lungs and knew what to do from there. He waited for the flames to collide when, he'd jump off the golem, and dive into the Earth. He dived down a depth of 25 meters, but still kept his eyes on Jay. His golem now just molten rock, slumped into a pile. He disliked, he couldn't use his bakuton, but he'd have to cope for now. He'd move underground until he was 5 meters away from Jay, but still 25 meters deep. Using a personal jutsu, he'd make a single kata and from that, a wolf claw would sprout from beneath Jay aiming to hit him from below. This wolf claw is made up of earth and can keep going, as along as chakra is supplied.

Doton: Dochū Senkō, Doton: Okami Ken

There was something seriously wrong with that math, but he left it alone using the whole twenty-five meters deep thing to his advantage.

He jumped high into the air, a decent seventy meters for a simple jump. Sometimes he enjoyed the weightless feeling while in the air. Other times, he missed the feeling of immense gravity. He wouldn't let this dwell on him as he created a platform of solid wind underneath his left foot.

As he was doing this, he unsealed dozens of exploding kunai and shuriken from the seals on his fingers and simply let them fall.

As the earthen wolf burst from the ground, it'd eat a few shuriken and kunai as the Nara willed for the tools to explode. Explode they did, in a cacophonous melody that shook the very ground as well as tearing it asunder. Each kunai/shuriken had the formula to produce an explosion of five meters, with a shockwave distance of ten. He'd quantify the total number of dozens at four, two for each (24 kunai - 24 shuriken).

Because of the way they were dropped, a rough six at a time, a deep crater would begin to form seconds at a time. The estimation for the new waves of durable metals to fall through the previous wave of explosions was a full second due to the lack of real wind resistance. Six a wave, to a full forty-eight, dividing into eight waves in eight seconds. Factor in more numbers and that's forty meters deep and an extra fifty meters for the shockwave.

The man above, simply waited for his brother to come up and stop hiding in the dirt.

Ray wasn't that much of an idiot to keep staring up as the explosions rained down towards him, luckily the wolf claw absorbed some time allowing Ray some time to escape, though it wouldn't be much as he felt himself singed by the incoming explosions. He was visibly irritated that Jay stood in the air. Sure Ray could do the same, as he too mastered Fuuton to a degree, but instead he decided to let it feed his next move.

Ray extends his hands, in the middle of each palm were holes which could also be found going up his arm on the outside. Each arm had four holes, sealed at the moment, that lead to the elbow. For a total of 10 holes, one on each Palm and the four on each arm, this was Rays new body modification. He wouldn't need much as they open up and release a cloud of smoke around the battlefield. At first it only covered Ray but it panned out a little slowly, till it covered an area of 25 meters. In the smoke, Ray hid, it was his own version of the kirigakure justu, only it used smoke. Ray himself was not smoke, but he'd bite into a chakra pill, his eyes still focused on his brother.

Hiding with Smoke Technique

It was blatantly obvious his brother was up to something even before he had begun to cover twenty-five meters of the area with smoke. Even still, with his brother's Byakugan active, it wouldn't matter if they weren’t eye to eye. But still, the appearance of the smoke meant he was above the ground at this time, or at least partially. He wasted little time in pulsing the chakra in his coils and converting it into lightning. Not even a second passed before a blinding ligh, filled with chakra, illuminated the immediate vicinity(1), while the light itself would shine for three seconds. The effects of the exposure would be; sharp pain and forced blindness, which would last a turn, with irritation from the technique lasting two more afterwards.

While Ray was hopefully incapacitated, something that would be inevitable seeing as how there would be no reason for him to assume such a technique was going to be used. In preparation for his next plan of action, he jumped off of the platform of wind and did his next actions while in the process of doing a back flip.

As the shining light began to fade after the initial three seconds, he would unseal Goliath, push lightning chakra through his arrow seal on his right palm as he pulled on the string. At the same time as he was doing this, he pulsed a technique into the arrow of artificial lightning and released it towards the epicenter of the cloud, opening his eyes at that exact moment.

As the lightning arrow was released, it immediately began to multiply(2) from one to two to four to eight and so on and so on a total of one hundred and twenty-eight lightning arrows in rapid succession. He made sure to cover the entirety of the cloud, focusing most of the arrows more towards the middle ten meter radius.

Obviously, while the lightning didn't have the capacity to disperse the smoke, it did shower into it with such speed that it wouldn't even matter. As the last bolt of lightning crashed into the cloud, the entire technique most likely leaving the ground inside a complete mess like swiss cheese. The condition of his brother was entirely on his brother's evasive skills.

He'd tighten his grip on his bow and complete his flip and drop towards the ground, landing as soft as a feather, unsealing a physical arrow, canceling his Razor wind, since his brother didn't want to engage in Taijutsu. Though, he'd keep his Air fist primed, unsealing a soldier pill as well. All these techniques, despite his masterful chakra control, had pushed his vast reserves to 70%, which the pill would push to 95%. He had four more and he was going to use them wisely, if the fight lasted any longer of course.
