Thanks for pointing it out, Ice.
I looked over the thread and understand why she destroys my HP even after death. D;

Bugreports / Still Being Attacked?
« on: October 29, 2011, 02:37:32 AM »
If this has come up before or not, I'm not sure...
But I was just in a fight with 5 people in the forest, one of which was "Young Hinata". As we all know, she does that annoying Jyuuken move that destroys your HP.

Normally, if you fight her 1-on-1, once you kill her the Jyuuken attack stops, as it should.
However, in the multi-opponent fight I was just in, she was the third person, out of five, killed, and her Jyuuken was still doing damage to me after her death.

Logically speaking, this shouldn't be so, correct? I mean, if you're dead, you can't still attack, right? X__X;;

I was wondering, though, if this was purposeful, or a bug? Is her Jyuuken supposed to be able to do damage after her death in a multi-opponent fight?

Unfortunately, though, I didn't take a screen shot before continuing on to the shades. xD

Still not quite getting my point, Ice.
I'm not saying, "Well, I want an area to be left alone so n00bs cant bug me and interrupt my RP!" If that were the case, yes, we have Sannin+ and private zones for that.

What I'm saying is, "Well, I want areas made for those who truly enjoy a grand RP experience, and want these places connected to their respective villages only to enhance RP and provide possibilities for future events."

Also, on a side not:
I'd have to disagree with this:
Quote
....maybe even accessed only be people from that village, sort of a special area I guess for each village.
Village centers would be OOC if I'm not mistaken, and as such would be violence/RP free for the most part. Thus, I don't think it should restricted to residents of the local village only.

I see your point. Though, in my opinion(ha, I use this a lot. xD), it seems kind of out of place and odd to have the zones just there like that. I mean, yeah, "All villages are linked there through portals..." but that just doesn't make any logical sense to me. I've actually, not recently though, seen someone in an entirely different country mess up, interfere in, or pretty much just destroy RP in different zones.

Yeah, it's Naruto-based, but still...

Perhaps this might work, though I'm sure you'll shoot it down yet again, the areas I suggest be made and put in place for those wanting serious RP and serious locations to do so, while the zones are kept for OOC fights meant for nothing more than fun.

You're not seeing the broader picture, Ice Man. Instead of one, have two or three, possibly four. That way, you don't need to play like you're in the forest near Konoha, or the desert near Suna, or wastelands near Tsuchi, or mountains near Kumo, you could actually RP there. And as such, you could have literal zone wars, which could be an event between the lands. Kind of like a war, but on a lesser scale.

For instance, an anime reference:
Jirobou fights Chouji in the forest
Tayuya fights Shikimaru somewhere else in the forest
The spider dude who's name I can't remember fights Neji in yet another place in the forest
Sakon/Ukon fight Kiba in another place in the forest

Naruto and friends try to track down Sasuke and run into Kimimaro in the plains.

After exiting the village, they'd all need to make their ways to their respective fights, no? So why not let them, RP their way through a forest, then to plains. A bad example, I know, since they could do all of that in the zones, but still it's more rp'd this way, in my opinion.

The point isn't, "Why would Mr. ANBU just randomly be there", the point is it could help RP. Most "events" or happenings are planned and thought out before hand. So Mr. ANBU would be there to do one of two things: Stop Mr. A from gaining access to the village, or give a warning to those within the village that a threat is coming. What happens solely depends on the RP of the characters.

Might I also suggest two types of RP mods:
1) Event RP mods that create, execute and maintain RP events
2) Petition RP mods that take care of RP-oriented petitions regarding a constant god-modder and also keep up a list of current kage and jinchuuriki.

It's not discussion areas. Those would be the village squares. These areas would be for strict RP only. Though, now that I look at it, it seems as though I stated one would NEED to travel through these boards in-game. That's not the case I was trying to plead. The areas I'm suggesting would be attached to the RP village, not the village square. It's kinda like this in my head:

Mr. A is traveling to Konoha via RP. He enters the forest where he runs into Mr. B, a Konoha Anbu. Mr. A's intentions aren't very good, so he attacks the anbu.
Normally, this RP would most likely be played out in the village until the fighting starts, then move to zone 5. Instead of this, I suggest having places connected to the main RP village page... kind of like a child board on a forum, where they can RP out the entire forest scene.

# 1: Sounds interesting, but I think the zones are okay the way they are, I don't really like having to travel to a Zone, to get through to a Village. However I'd be all for new villages.
It won't be "zones", but outside areas. I was using the zones as an example of what could be possible using existing boards. And in defense of this idea, this is an RP site, no? Why not allow RPers to actually RP travel through deserts, plains, mountains and so on to get to villages. This would allow many places for events to occur, RP ones, anyway. As well as places for people to fight outside of villages. In my opinion, this would be good and prove to enhance RP, rather than hinder it with two locations to RP. It seems a bit of a hindrance to RP.

#2: Maybe each village could have a Village Square, which would be the just hang out area, but the main village pages could be the good for it, anything RP goes page.
This sounds good to me. In fact, I'll like that. What about pages within villages that'd be locations within said village: A residential area, kage's mansion and so on.

#3 It could work, and be done, but it's not super important. lol
RP is based on detail, every little detail counts. And as such, it IS important to have the weather correct. There is, after all, a large difference between weather in the dessert, versus weather on a large island like Kiri.

#4 Kamui and I have bought this up, and I believe Gyuyuyu is a Gamemaster if Memory serves me right.

Here are some topic I have created on similar wavelengths.

Yes, because Gyururu is active enough to make any sort of note on RP. Though, I've gone over both of the threads created, and it seems to be in discussion. Nothing I can think to say, on either points, has yet to be said. Though I'd like to throw myself out there as a potential Game Master/RP Mod.

Feature Requests / New Ideas

Well... I have some new ideas to enhance RP, as well as make the game more interesting and... well... larger. By larger, I mean there'll be more places to go, more things to do and so on.

Some friends have informed me of new villages in the process of of being made and a revamping of the travel system to support this. Which brings me to idea number 1.

Numero Uno:
Creation of village "areas" around villages based on the topography shown in the manga/anime and what can be inferred about the topography based on location. These areas would replace the "zones" as an area to fight outside of villages, as well as proved places to RP entrances to villages instead of randomly appearing there. Prime examples, using existing pages, would be having to travel through the Forest(Zone 5) then the plains (Zone 6) to reach Konoha, or through the desert (Zone 1) to get to Suna, or through the wastelands (Zone 8) to get to what would be the future Tsuchigakure. Among other places, like a sea to get to Kiri, mountains to get to Kumo et cetera.

Speaking of said villages brings me to my next idea.
Numbuh Two:
Permission to fight within the confines of villages which would enhance RP greatly. A village is truly nothing but another area in the game, and as such shouldn't be subject to special rule simply because it's a main bored. Admittedly, areas like the gardens should be left violence-free, since it's really just a place to chill out. Nonetheless, in the anime and manga, there are many instances of fighting within villages, be it the Chuunin exams, Sasuke fighting Itachi in Tanzaku Town, Itachi fighting(killing) his entire clan in Konoha. So why forbid it here? Yes, some people are only here to have fun and relax, but just because they want to relax, doesn't mean the more serious RPers shouldn't be allowed to fight in their vicinity. Or, preferably (from an RPer's point of view) split the villages into two: One which would be the "main" place, just as the villages are now, then another for RPing only... though that might be a bit confusing.

Also regarding village location and assumed climate, should be area specific weather. Bringing me to
Number 3:
I, personally, find it odd to see "Today's weather is expected to be: Thundershowers" in the desert. I'm not a meteorologist, so I don't know much about weather in certain places and climates and such, thus I don't have much to offer here.

On another RP related note,
Number 4:
I'm not exactly sure if the staff position "Game Master" refers to RP or not... but we need some sort of RP mods. Preferably seasoned RPers who can easily prove their worth both practically and theoretically. RP is really not what it used to be, and I, as well as other RPers, would like that to change. Also, as this is, to my knowledge, and Naruto RP game, some sort of "official" status for Kages and Jinchuuriki editable by Game Masters to keep things current and up to pace.
