Just to know what every one thinks, cuz i say naruto first(a dumb genious but a genious never the less) then Yondaime and after him both shika and Kakashi tied but thats me

Neji, of course. He knows all of the pressure points, some of the techniques that is only learned in the branch house... and he was only a Genin. Smartest person in the Naruto series.

I think Naruto mostly wins out of luck, and can only really do Bunshin at that juncture.

I would have to say Shikamaru. A true genius not only knows the best way to win a battle himself, but also knows the best way for an entire team to win. Shikamaru knows the best attributes of the others, therefore when taking on a mission he constructs the best team for the mission as well as the best strategy for success.  He truly thinks steps ahead of everyone.

I can't argue with that, I believe that Naruto thinks on the fly. How many times has Naruto jumped out and tried to attack some one when others tell him to wait, so they can access the situation and the enemy's strength. Only to have Naruto get knocked back by the enemy.  Naruto by far has more heart than probably anyone, he's mastered the art of never giving up no matter what the situation may be.  In my opinion Naruto is a survivor, but Shikamaru is a true genius.

Well I believe Neji is the deadiest , and most smartest ninja in the series. Think about it outta the Konoha 11 in the new Naruto series as teenagers , Neji the only person who turned Jounin , and everryone else remains Chunin thus stating he's a true genius.

Brains 0_0?? More like a phycho , and even as a Kazekage he gets pwned by Deidara , and Sasori were shown to defeat him , but of cource their S-rank Ninjas. As a Genin he didn't show his brains much , but even after the Timeskip he's proven to be a genius , but not at Neji's or Shikamaru's level.

didnt u think it was awesome the way he fought against kimimaru and lee? nice strategies. i havent saw the fight with deidare but i think deidara is a way more experient ninja than gaara.
