"Sword shop proposal"

Well here it is something I have been working on writing up

1-where you want changes

You could maybe put the new feature in Konoha Gakure since it has no Weapon shop. Concerning the fact you can only buy level 15 weapons in game.

-what do you want to have changed

It would be a weapon shop kind of springing from the research I have been doing on the Master sword maker Masamune. I realize that the game already has a event that you can pay to have your weapon upgraded to +1 and so on, but it is random and I don’t know if it is me but it only happens once every like 10 DK. What I want to do is open up a shop sorry if you think it’s a corny name but you could call it “Masamune’s sword shop” or something on the same lines.

-how this should be achieved

1: put a shop in Konoha Gakure that you can go into and have these options….

“Return to Konoha Gakure”
“Talk To Masamune”

That takes you to the upgrade screen

It would allow you to upgrade your current weapon

(+1 Requires 5 DKs and costs 600 gold, and makes you lose 1 turn to wait for Masamune to finish the work)
(+1/5 Requires 10 DKs and costs 600 to 2800 gold, and makes you lose 1 turn to wait for Masamune to finish the work)
(+1/10 Requires 15 DKs and costs 600 to 6000 gold, and makes you lose 1 turn to wait for Masamune to finish the work)

Then….

(+10/15 Requires 20 DKs and costs 600 to 10000 gold and 2 Gems, and makes you lose 3 turn to wait for Masamune to finish the work)

And…To increase the hit count of your weapon

(+1 hit Requires 10 DKs and cost 1000 gold, and makes you lose 1 turns to train with Masamune)
(+1/5 hit Requires 15 DKs and costs 1000 to 5000 gold and makes you lose 2/4 turns to train with Masamune)

2: Unfortunately I am thinking the work and training would and should disappear after a DK.

And I was playing with the idea of doing something like upgrading you forehead protector, but doing the same thing except for your weapon because all good Shinobi would have a weapon like a forehead protector would be worth something. And please don’t hold it against me if I have left out some details this is my first time proposing a new feature ^.^
Well this ends my proposal to bring a new feature to the game and I hope this was a welcome distraction from the “Kekkai Genkai” and “Custom Jutsu” proposal’s you probably get every day.

A weapon that goes beyond +1... There would have to be some major setbacks of this and most likely the weapon upgrade would be a buff...

That could happen and it would be a good idea it have it a buff that would be restored after the new day…

I am a bit nasty when it comes to buying buffs directly at a shop only related to it and with no  drawbacks.

how about... 66% your weapon gets damaged with the same minus you asked for as a plus? of course, the "work" would be free....

or a base chance of 20% failure, and with every + on it, the chance grows by 15%, up to a maximum of 90% ?

believe me.... 600 gold for +1 is ... a no no
even as a buff, that's TOO cheap. make it 6000, then we can talk.

Sounds good to me 600 or 6000 I would be willing to pay for it even if there was draw backs.

im willing to start writing up a more detailed overview if you tell me what you want to see, I really wrote this to see if you would like the general idea.

Anyway, seems like you've got a good idea going, and the groundwork to get it started, but you just need to tweak it a little bit, basically with Neji's suggestions.

It's an intresting idea, although it wouldnt be tat relevant to people that gain dk's fast,because you just lose the weapon.Still a good concept i guess though.

I am not against a "custom weapon" shop =)

Though, it has to have its limits.

Personally, once somebody would help Xaos with the items, and together with me... we could create a "fix yourself something" where you need specific materials... some you can buy, some you can find.. some are in quests.

and then you can create normal items, special items, etc.

How about we have it set up like it is in D&D 3.5E?? I think that would be better.

except we'd have no graphic engine :P

In D&D you can't simply "enhance your weapon by +x" ... and also, believe me, if you'd go with Saving Throws... you'd die.

=)

D&D is a group system... you won't survive as a lone wolf in that game. One bad throw and that's it.
